The Cure of Pain

"The world will know no peace without pain."- Pain from Naruto Shippuden.
Even though he's very evil and a dangerous person, I think that he's right. Like in many fairy tales and stories, there is always a conflict. To resolve a conflict, someone goes out on a quest and when they resolve the conflict, there is usually THE END in big letters. Where did this come from and how did this come to be the end? I think what really makes the conflict so important and meaningful is the pain behind it. Conflicts bring about cooperation, togetherness, and a need to solve it. Pain brings about peace between people.
Sometimes you need to undergo a form of pain, so later on it will bring about peace. Awhile ago, my grandmother passed away, and even though it was very painful to take in, it caused my family to come together from across the world. The tears brought laughter and the sorrow brought celebration. I know for many people, it is one of the hardest things to deal with, but sometimes pain could be the start of something new and graceful. In naruto, even terrible things seem to keep on happening to naruto and his friends, like Sasuke leaving and joining Orochimaru and Jirachi dying, it was bound to happen and although it was tough to deal with, you never know. Naruto might not have been as strong as he is now amd not ne able to save all the his friends form all the evil and danger. Pain is like saying "see you later," to  a friend because you may not be seeing them for awhile, you're going to see him tomorrow at school. In Naruto, a beast named Nine Tailed Fox, and was so strong, the only way to stop it was by sealing it into a baby which was naruto. Evertime naruto feels a great form of pain , a part of the fox's power takes over naruto. When the pain goes away, naruto goes back to regular.
Pain is like a cut. It may hurt when you get it and look bloody, but after awhile, your skin will form a scab, and soon enough, before you know it, the cut is healed. Pain is never a scar. Although we don't see it as something good, who knows? It might end up changing your life for the better. What I like to think of it is that today, its a painful discard, but tomorrow, its a great gift, so although you broke your DS, a DSI will be waiting under your christmas tree.

Care

What does it mean to care something or someone? Would you do almost anything to make sure what you care about is safe? I the book that I'm finishing "Wizards First rule" by Terry Goodkind is packed with the meaning of care.
Like in all the movies, shows, books we read, there are those moments of care. Whether the characters group hug, or fight off something much bigger than themselves, forms of showing care vary. Why do they do this? Is it to develop the characters and make the piece that much better or is it a deeper meaning for us? Richard Cypher, the main character of the book tries his hardest to keep Kahlan, a confessor, safe. He has been suffering and going through torture for her because he has been captured by a dangerous witch sent by Rahl, a evil wizard. Throughout the whole journey, Richard never seemed to leave Kahlan's side. I think books, movies, shows, whatever thing that has a message to it, when they show care, they want to teach the readers that not only sharing is caring. I never actually seen this care in real life, in the outside world. Sure my family gives love abd care to me and thats because they're my family. They are staying and living with me for a long period of time. What about friends or the people all around you on the streets. Do they care about you? In the book, Richard met Kahlan when she was walking and Richard saw that she was being stalked and helped her. Even though she was a stranger and by helping her, who knows what could have happened to him, he still helped her. I think its good to show care to anyone. You could open the door for them or tell them their shoes are untied and sometimes, even though its no where near what people in the imaginary and made up world do for each other, its still a sign of care because it shows that anyone and everyone should care for each other.
To care for something or someone is show how passionate you are about it and that it has meaning to you. It is something you want to cherrish and maybe want to have it forever with you. Its to show a sign of kindness. Though in a lot of situations we are not able to show amazing care for something, but even those small things we do for each other show care and care is a much more developed and greater meaning than you think.

Encountering a Wizard

The story I've been elaborating on is called "Encountering A Wizard" by Malik Padellan. Its about a knight who doesn't follow the orders to slaughter the wizard kingdom and decides to help one of them escape onto another land, free from the terrible acts of the king and his army. This story is not only very detailed and well developed, but there is a theme with it.
What is racism? Racism is the thought of being superior than another because of their cultures, customs, and their way of life. The main character, Cypher Bloodstream, and everyone in his kingdom are known as Bloodstreams. Bloodstreams ablilities allow them to cure any physical or chemical disturbance to their body which basically means the only way they can die is by incapicitating their heads or by old age. All Bloodstreams are in perfect shape and never have a problem dealing with things like not having enough fiber. Valkar, the king of the kingdom of Bloodstreams for over 300 years, thinks of the Bloodstreams to be the most superior to all other kingdom people and calls the Bloodstreams angels. Since he thinks of them being angels, he wants everywhere to be populated with angels so the land could be a "holy land." Valkar sees everyone else as demons corrupting heaven. He doesn't like the wizard kingdom because he thinks that having original abilities is better than getting powers from someone in the family or by reading spell books. He doesn't like ogres not because they are evil and dangerous, because they are actually nice and friendly, but because they're green.
The thing that supports racism the most is the thought that being different is bad. "Since you're not the same as me, you have a less valuable way of life and because of that, I'm the one in charge," is one of the things that many racist keep in their head. I think that racism occurs when someone thinks of themselves as being greater than someone and when someone is used to their own way of life and sees someone who does different things and has different interest or looks different. Racism is one of theconflicts in the world that will probably never be resolved because you can't force people to like and accept difference. Racism was probably meant to happen because a world would be either totally in order or totally corrupt if everyone was the same and I believe that being different is unique and being unique is beautiful.

Great Author

In the book I'm still reading, Wizards First Rule by Terry Goodkind, there are so many elements that make it such an exciting book to read. As Richard and Kahlan go through their amazing quest, I can't stop noticing the writing crafts Terry Goodkind is using.
I think that the theory of this book is that you can make all kinds of friends. Richard still doesn't know that Kahlan is a confessor which is like a wizard. She is afraid to tell him because when people hear that, they usually back away in fear and get freaked out.
Everywhere I go, this theory proves itself of being worthy. People live off of what the people around them think about the world. Its hard to not take in the actual evidence and facts of some things and judge it of being good or bad.
I'm sure that this happens to me all the time. Sometimes people are racist because they know that the race's actions to society is common of being bad or just causing their superior races world to corrupt. Me and my friends and family talk about each others friends and sometimes we just judge them by one of the first informations told to us like their race and culture and we put them in the category of best friend, friend, or not even close. The people who you thought of never hangimg around with could be the best friends you've always thought of hanging around with.
In this book, their is an injustice dealing with what people beleive in. An evil leader named Paul Rahl has instigated people who throw flowers at his army to kill or hang anyone who doesn't throw flowers at his army by passing a movement saying to kill all these non-throwing flower people. This sort of reminds me of the holocost and how the naughtcees killed jews because they only believed in a german world like how Paul's movement caused many people to die. Also, Kahlan has left that place to escape all the madness and this os like the Jews avoiding being killed by naughtcees.
I also like how Terry really finds a way to show the character of her characters and they are so believable because many people have these types of characters. Terry showed great emotion when she brought out prodigious sorrow in Kahlan when she thought back to her dead sister. She really painted an image in my head of how Kahlan cried and how she acted when she cried.

Malik's first rule

The book I'm reading is called the Wizards First Rule by Terry Goodkind. It is very intresting because so far I've read a couple of pages and there has been so many cool things that Terry Goodkind makes this book have. He uses so many details just to describe one small scene in the book and it is very effective. Sometimes he even goes pages to describe scenes and I like this because, like Terry, I think that details are the most important when you're writng a story. I also try to have one whole page just describing something like a person or the setting.
AI also like how the main character, Richard Cypher, was developed by Terry. He was very quick thinking and brave when he saw that a women was being stalked and I like this because many people would probably just think that the girl was just playing some game with the swtalkers and just continue to walk, but Richard quickly realized that she wasn't playing with them and helped her. I also like when they said he could leave, he stayed by her side.

Social Injustice towards vampires and Vampaneze

The world is very judgemental and seems like it will never be able to agree with something. Their has even been wars about peoples beliefs. The problem is that people can't accept each other and always think that they're way is the better way. An example of one war over belief is the civil war because the north thought that slavery was wrong, while the south thought thought that slavery was right. This type of problem is called social change when someone fights for what they believe in. Everywhere there is some type of social issue that gets solved by some type of social change or just never gets solved.

Things like the civil war and people not accepting each other are in my book.l In the book I'm reading, Cirque Du Freak: Lake of Souls by Daren Shan, theres a social issue dealing with what the vampires and vampaneze think about each other. The vampires consume blood by taking a couple of blood from their victims. The vampaneze consume blood by drinking the victim dry which kills them. The vampires disagree of how the vampaneze consume blood, so there has been many social actions, which usually is violence, against the vampaneze from the vampires as well as the other way around. One major war that is going to happen is the war of the scars which is between the vampires and vampaneze and the vampets who don't know who to join yet. Its not only each other they had to worry about in the books before. The humans didn't like the vampires and vampaneze killing and taking blood from them, so they would get any chance to kill a vampire or vampaneze.

Even in books there are social issues and social conflicts, yet in real life and book life as well, there is rarely social change. Sometimes, when there is a social change, there is a social issue that follows right behind it.

World on Fire

The lyrics to the song  World on Fire by Sarah McLachan and her video  is very inspiring and teaches the hardships of people who are less fortunate than us and how the world is messed up and "on fire." I like this poem because its not only powerful lyrics, but it teaches people to get up and do something about these conditions many people are in.

In the lyrics, she says "Hearts are worn in these dark ages. You're not alone in this story's pages," I think that it means that if you have ideas and want to do something for these people, you're not alone. There are many charitys and associations that not only can you join, but donate to. Also, when Sarah says "The worlds on fire and it's more than I can handle," I think this means that she tries to do things for these people, but it seems like she can't do it all by herself. She can't save everyone because its just to much fire in the world.

I think this is very sad because many times I want things that I don't even need like video games and yugioh cards when people are struggling to get things they need. Not only that, but many things are built that probably would cost a lot of money by people for public uses that don't even need to be built and the money could have been donated to help people's needs instead of their wants first. The video is very powerful. All the time, people see many other videos and speeches about how people in poor countries are in need, but it never seems to change opinions sometimes, but this video gives so many examples and really connects to the lyrics making it stronger. It showed how the amount of money for things we take for granted would be very valuable and useful to people who need help.

Mighty Webs

The book that I feel like I need to talk about is Charlotte's Web by E.B.White which is not only about a pig named Wilbur who goes on a life changing experiance where he meets a spider named Charlotte, who is the type of friend that people rarely come across. Their friendship is so strong that it could beat the way of life of why farmers raise pigs.

Wilbur and Charlotte's friendship is very unique. A pig and a spider becoming friends! This relates to the friendship of Freak and Max in the book Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrook. Freak, as small and smart as he was and Max, as big and not very interested in learning, made their friendship so different, yet so magical and completing. People usually look for friends who are similar to themselves to have more in common and have the same likes and dislikes as themselves, and that makes Freak's and Max's friendship so unique.

This book is so good because the author, E.B.White writes books for adults and when you read between the lines of books he has published that seem like they're for children, you'll se that there are so many themes packed into this book.

Charlotte's Web kept me in its web throughout the entire book. It showed me that people usually go with what looks more comfortable to them and not check the other options to see what works better, but when choosing Charlotte as a friend, Wilbur didn't care who he had as a friend.

The Titans Curse

The book I'm reading is "The TItans Curse" and so far I've read 36 pages. I like how the author, Rick Riordan, and other authors develop their characters so well. They make it seem like you're talking right to the characters. Also, when the main character is a kid, like Percy Jackson, the author makes the main character talk like they're actually a kid. What makes it even more intresting is that they can talk like a kid whoes churlish and silly when they usually aren't a kid. In all the Percy Jackson books, Rick Riordan never gets lazy with describing things. I can always imagine the scene or a character. Another thing I like about this book is that Percy's character has changed more and more throughout the books. Hes become more confident, gotten better battle smarts, and has been able to make more friends than just Grover. The Percy Jackson books are one of those types of books that kids can actually bet into. Its at perfect level, understandable and challenging, and kids that love action and fantasy will love this and the other Percy Jackson books.
